Giving back by tasting beers?

We know what you’re thinking – and no, it’s not magic. It’s simply a beer festival. Nay, a great beer festival – the region’s largest beer festival – where tasting excellent frothy goodness is also giving back to the community. That’s right. All proceeds from the KC Beerfest go directly to the Kansas City Free Health Clinic and the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City. (All beer tastings, coincidentally, go directly to you.)

Held at the Legends Outlets, the 5th Annual KC Beerfest will feature hundreds of craft-style beers, plus food, pretzel necklaces, live music and a whole lot more. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the day of the event.

Pro tip: Both of last year’s festivals sold out within 30 minutes of opening the gate, so reserve your tickets online now. Also for those beer snobs out there, make sure to show up early in order to sample some of the rarest beers around.
